CEO

David Farkas has over 25 years of experience in the wireless electronics industry in both the commercial and defense areas. Prior to co-founding Nxbeam Inc., David founded Active Wave Technology (AWT) which specializes in the development of custom millimeter wave circuit products focusing on GaN, InP, and GaAs technologies. Prior to AWT, David was Assistant Department Manager at Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems (NGAS) responsible for developing high frequency integrated circuit products. David also held the position of Section Head within NGAS’s semiconductor foundry responsible for developing High Electron Mobility Transistor (HEMT) technology. Prior to NGAS, David was a Senior Design Engineer at Multilink Technology Corporation and Design Engineer at Hughes Space and Communications where he developed MMICs for optical and wireless communication systems. David earned his BSEE and MSEE degrees from The Ohio State University with emphasis on electromagnetics while working as a graduate research associate at the Electroscience Laboratory. David has over 15 technical publications.

Dr. JianQing He has more than 30 years of experience in the wireless communications field and holds 8 US patents. Prior to co-founding Nxbeam Inc., QJ founded Bravo Tech Inc (BTI) where he served as president & CEO for more than 10 years. During that time, he lead in the design and manufacturing of linear power amplifiers, RRUs, ultra power MCPA boosters and ultra-linear power amplifiers for DAS, DAS system products, Active Point of Interface, and small cells for wireless communications. QJ was also responsible for the company’s business development, technology roadmap, strategic directions, and overall organization development and management during that time. Before founding BTI, QJ was with Powerwave Technology as a senior principal engineer responsible for designing linear power amplifiers and other RF products. Prior to Powerwave Technology, QJ served as a technical staff engineer in the area of non-linear high efficiency power amplifiers at Hughes Aircraft Company. QJ received his MSEE and PhD degrees in electrical engineering from Virginia Tech and specialized in the areas of microwave, power amplifiers, and RF components.

Dr. Liu has more than 30 years of experience in the design and development of RF/Microwave integrated circuits, communication systems, and radar systems. Dr. Lui was a staff scientist at Honeywell Aerospace where he was responsible for the development of mmWave imaging systems and other microwave and mmWave products. Prior to Honeywell, he was with Boeing Satellite Systems where his focus was on integrated circuit (IC) design for satellite communications using SiGe and GaAs technologies. Before Boeing, he was with Multilink Technology Corporation as a team leader where he worked on the development of high-speed integrated circuits and modules for the optical communications market. Dr Lui received his PhD in Electrical Engineering from UCLA in 1995. He received his BSEE and MSEE degrees from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China.

Dr. Richard N. Nottenburg has a diversified background of managing technology companies serving as an executive officer and chief executive officer with over 30 years of experience in the semiconductor and communications industry. In addition to being Chairman of Nxbeam, Dr. Nottenburg is an Executive Partner at OceanSoundPartners LP, a private equity firm, and an investor in early-stage technology companies.

Previously, Dr. Nottenburg served as President and Chief Executive Officer and a member of the board of directors of Sonus Networks, Inc. from 2008 through 2010. From 2004 until 2008, Dr. Nottenburg was an officer with Motorola, Inc., ultimately serving as its Executive Vice President, Chief Strategy Officer and Chief Technology Officer. Dr. Nottenburg currently serves on the board of directors of Sequans Communications S.A. (NYSE: SQNS), Cognyte Software Ltd. (Nasdaq: CGNT), VERINT Systems (Nasdaq:VRNT) and Applied Blockchain Inc. (APLD). Dr. Nottenburg has over 75 technical publications and 6 US patents.
